Senior Fullstack/Backend Engineer

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a skilled Senior Fullstack Engineer with a strong emphasis on backend development. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our platform, ensuring that our systems are robust, efficient, and scalable. If you’re an experienced developer with a passion for both backend and frontend technologies, we’d love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

● Code Quality & Optimization: Write, maintain, and optimize code across the backend and frontend with high coding standards, testing practices, and secure development principles.

● Observability: Implement robust logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure system stability and performance.

● Collaboration: Brainstorm and collaborate with team members to develop efficient solutions and improvements.

● Innovation: Suggest ideas worth implementing to improve the product, performance and efficiency across the platform.

Technical Stack:

● Frontend: Svelte.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS

● Backend: Bun/Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript

● Cloud: AWS

● Related Technologies: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, Jest, Vitest

● Tools: Git, Linear, Coralogix, Grafana
 

Requirements

● Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend system architecture and delivery.

● Technical Skills: Expert proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript and Express.js. Production experience with high-throughput messaging queues, relational databases and Event-driven development.

● Practical experience leveraging AI tools as part of the workflow.

● Problem-Solving: A result-oriented approach to problem-solving with the ability to work efficiently at a high pace.

● Team Collaboration: High level of independence coupled with proven ability to collaborate effectively. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

● Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant field.

Bonus Points:

● Experience with functional programming languages.

● Proven experience in Performance optimizations.

● Ability to understand and contribute to E2E System Architecture and Design.

● Experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
